“In August of 2007, she met with the doctors again to go over some blood tests that were done as checkups in the past. The blood looked fine to them so they said no other follow ups are needed. It seemed odd to us. After all, nearly every other medical facility told us that blood tests should be done every three months, no matter what the case.”
“Other doctors looked at Joann's blood work and scans. They weren't her specific oncologist, but they saw her CEA blood work number had gone up and there was evidence that something was wrong.”
“However, they were all told by our primary doctor that everything looked normal and there was nothing to be concerned of. It didn't make any sense. Why would a doctor not err on the side of caution? Caution might of just saved her life!”
