“I was sleeping on the side of the bed, my arm hanging off the side. I saw my mom walk to my side and grab my hand. I had this sigh of relief. She’s alive. But you know what happened when I woke up and opened my eyes? She disappeared.”
“When I first heard that my mother had cancer, my heart raced, I broke out in a sweat. The thought of losing my mother overwhelmed me. I was only 15. What if she wasn't there on my 16th birthday? My 18th? What about when I get married? When I have kids?”
“The worry of her maybe not being there left me anxious. And when she died, the reality of that worry left me paralyzed.”
I'm busy working on my blog posts. Watch this space!
